Sleepless Nights...

Anthea was having Fever for the last 2 days.

On Monday, i brought her to the doctor and she was given MC for a day. She rested at home. Lao ma came over and helped me to look after her, so that Siti can fetch Anders from the school, in the evening. During the day, after taking medication, her temperature was normal.

At night, her fever went up to around 38 degree celsius. So, need to keep sponging her to keep the temperature down. Throughout the nights, the sponging kept going on. With in between small naps for me.

On Tuesday, i was quite exhausted. During lunch, i went for a quick swim at the Toa Payoh Swimming complex which is near my working place. The swim helped me to regain some of my energy. I know when i feel tired due to stressed, exercise always help.

Now, Anthea fever's has gone and she is back to her usual self again. Felt that the 2 sleepless nights were worth it.

Motherhood is a Package Deal - you name it - Worries, Stress, Happy, Anger, Love etcs, it is all in it.

Just heard the GOOD NEWS from Uncle Terence from London : Cherry has ACCEPTED his wedding proposal. The proposal took place on Tower Bridge -

Terence email : "Why Tower bridge? A bridge to signify the link between the 2 of us, just like the Tower bridge has connected the 2 embankments so strongly for so many years. "

So ROMANTIC....

BIGGEST CONGRATS to Terence and Cherry...Another Major Mile stone in the Tan Family.

Don't know if its viral but I've been hearing of people having fever since last week...both kids and adults.

Anyways, glad to hear that Anthea is ok. She's becoming quite grown up now. On Sunday, she was telling us herself that she thinks she has fever. And when we felt her forehead, true enuff, she did hv fever.

Yea think the viral is everywhere. Dunno whether weather plays a part but i think so. I'm down. Thank God grace is preserved.

Glad to know Anthea recovered and you are ok. Rest well.

Hi Eve, Jean,

Yeah, think it's the viral, plus also all the heaty food she had been munching during the week.

On positive note, it is part & parcel of them building up their immunity... : )

thanks,

Hi Astee

Just to let you know that adults too can contact viral fever...except that with stronger immunity as compared to kids, we get out of the 5 day cycle faster whilst kids struggle with cough and phlegm.

And viral fevers do not require anti-biotics as medication. I checked with our PD the last time Nic was down with one.

nellie.
